Tours of J.R. Booth Lodge

To arrange a tour of the J. R. Booth Lodge, please send an email, noting the number in your party (maximum 8 people) and the best time for your convenience. Tours are arranged on an individual basis. The Lodge and Island are private property so tours are by arrangement only and are arranged exclusively by email contact only.
Tours last about 40 minutes to an hour and include all areas of the Lodge and the gardens on the west end of the island. Rates are: adults $5 to a maximum of $20 for up to 8 people. Proceeds go to the Lodge Maintenance Fund administered by the owners.
Parking is in the visitor area at the gate where your guide will meet you and escort you to the Lodge. The Lodge is much in the condition of its construction in 1930 and is not wheel-chair accessible, though we can arrange to have visitors enter the main porch door by easy stages from the walkway. The Lodge has washroom facilities and drinking water.
We are always interested in learning more about the area, the Lodge’s construction, the Booth family and the world of the river in the 1930s and are happy to share what we do know of the family history and events at the Lodge during J. R,’s time here.
Guides are volunteers among island owners so a tour depends on their availability. We will try to accommodate you at your best convenience.
Visitors may inquire about rates and the conditions of rental and use of the Lodge by individuals and groups and they can apply for sponsorship by an owner on their visit.
Directions to the Island and Lodge appear on the Maps/Directions page of our web site.
